SpiceQuest September (2023) - Of Pirates and Parties Spiceworks Originals.Anway, for some reason, I am not able to get PS to play well with my command. I know in PowerShell I can use something like ccmcache\*\foldername. Recall that SCCM put the files in the ccmcache, then a random folder, then the files, (ccmcache\8\folder). My plan was to use a separate PS with serviceUI command in it because I can't use a path with a wild card when specifying the path when configuring the deployment type. OK, after saying all that, here is what I was trying to do with the script. I know the command, just not sure of the order of sequence to put it in the TS. Does SCCM have anything built in that will force the installation if the users do not initiate it from the software center by a certain date? The other option which I may need some help with is doing it as a task sequence and add the serviceUI as a task. My concern with this option is that I don't want the users to just leave it there and never install it, hence the custom message with the deferral expiration to force it. Now another option I am open to is to set the application as available and have it sit on their software center. I want to push the application and have the message pop up so the users can defer or continue. The thing is, I need the message to show is session 0, hence the need for ServiceUI. I am currently using the Appdeploytoolkit to handle the custom message. So, as an alternative, I am doing the feature pack as an application. ![]() ![]() ![]() Out of the box, it is not working because we have WSUS which handles our updates so SCCM is, for lack of a word ignoring it and respecting WSUS as the authoritative presence. I am using SCCM (yaaay, finally) to do our upgrades to 20H2 using the Feature Pack. Let me explain what I am trying to do, and maybe someone can offer a better solution. Hi team, I am trying to use ServiceUI.exe in a PowerShell script. ![]()
